Amy brings 13 years of experience in internal medicine, where she focused her time and passion with geriatric patients, diagnosing and managing chronic conditions. During that time, Amy was also mentoring and working with pre-PA students, which prompted her transition to academia. From 2017-2021, Amy worked at South University’s Physician Assistant program as an Assistant Professor, lecturing in various topics and mentoring students throughout their education. She is also a Fellow member of both the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Amy grew up swimming competitively, which earned her a scholarship to compete for the Division 1, University of Pittsburgh Women's Swimming Team for 4 years, serving as captain her junior and senior years. (Go Pitt!) After graduation she became an avid triathlete, completing several Ironman 70.3 and 140.6 races, which led to qualifying and competing in the World Championships Ironman 70.3.
